This catalogue packs a punch! Not only were we able to secure a magnificent Dutch collection of armour that leaves noting to be desired, ranging from less pricy objects all the way to a phantastic ceremonial harness. We also got our hands on a marvellous collection of technical instruments of the 19th century, not only pleasing to collectors of precision instruments, but also to the eye, thanks to their wonderfully aesthetic and elegant appearance. In this auction the Bronze Age is well represented, in particular by a number of swords in spectacular condition. Items from Egypt, Persia and Phenicia, such as statuettes, flasks and ceremonial objects can be found side by side with a magnificent Greek helmet in museum conservation. Edged weapons from all over the world, primarily from Europe, are well represented and come in all sizes, from left-handed daggers to two-handed swords – the latter, however, being a bit harder to wield than a Swiss army knife.
